Longboat Key is an island just off the coast of Sarasota in the Gulf of Mexico. This eleven miles of sandy white beach is an ideal location for a perfect beach wedding ceremony. The accommodations are plentiful in Longboat Key if you look around, however can be expensive and the nearby cities like Sarasota and Bradenton could take some time to get to. In the end though, it will make your wedding ceremony and reception feel like a private island get-away.
A couple of good places on Longboat Key is the Colony Beach and Resort. Prices range from $2,500 to $15,000. The Longboat Key Club & Resort is also a nice place, along with the Longboat Island Chapel. If your looking for a deal theres always smaller business and family owned places to look around for, and don't be afraid to ask for a deal and negotiate.
